About Me

Greetings!

My name is Rebecca Sheriff – summer camp enthusiast, equestrian, avid coffee drinker, writer, traveler, event planner, and Christ-follower. I’m currently calling the Northwoods of Wisconsin home base for the next year or so.

For the past ten years, I’ve been serving at various Christian summer camps and conference centers working as a wrangler, hospitality manager, and front office manager. Camp Allegheny, Deer Valley Ranch, the Loft Theater at Buena Vista, and Spring Canyon have all contributed to where I’m at today as a summer camp professional.

I have a degree in Resort, Recreation, and Hospitality Management from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, where I also studied leadership, environmental sustainability, and tourism. Currently, I’m pursuing my M.A. in Outdoor and Adventure Leadership from Wheaton College while living, working, and studying at HoneyRock, Wheaton’s Outdoor Center for Leadership Development. I’m excited to be a part of the horsemanship program at HoneyRock while working as the Equestrian Programs Graduate Assistant.

By the grace of God, I’m at the point in my life where I can pursue so many of my passions, callings, and hobbies. In addition to writing, reading, and horseback riding I enjoy studying marine biology, astronomy, and wilderness medicine. I also enjoy volunteering with the Christian Camp and Conference Association.

This website primarily serves as my personal blog, although exciting new projects that I’m working on are coming soon!
